"In play" is a definition, not a feeling.
Every trading morning a handful of Nasdaq names are where the day's momentum actually happens. They share three measurable properties: a fresh reason, abnormal participation, and structure that lets price travel. Everything else is watching paint dry with extra steps.
The three-part test
A stock is in play when a catalyst first published since the prior close gives the crowd a reason; when time-of-day-adjusted relative volume shows the crowd actually came; and when float and price structure mean the buying has somewhere to go. Names with two of three are watchlist material. Names with one are noise. The test is boring on purpose: the discipline is in applying it identically every morning, especially on days when nothing qualifies and the honest board is short.
Where traders actually find them
In practice, most retail traders source their in-play list from chat rooms and social feeds, which means receiving the list after the people who built it have positioned. The alternative is mechanical: run the same published filter every morning, read the catalysts with their sources, and check the chatter measurement to see whether attention led or lagged the tape. That's what our Morning Board does in public, cuts and reasons included: the point of showing the rejects is that the filter, not the outcome, is the product.
Today's list, every trading morning.
The Morning Board applies this exact test before the open: the names in play, each with catalyst, source, participation and float, and the near-misses with the reason they missed. Free.
The founding cohort is 1,000 seats.
We admit 1,000 traders at a time because that is the largest number whose feedback on radar accuracy we can actually work through before opening the next batch. Applications are admitted in order; the intake asks what you trade, and answering it moves you up.
No card at application. Founding price locked for the life of your account. The full intake asks what you trade and moves you up the queue.
Admitted in order of application · momentum traders who complete the intake go first · founding price locked for the life of your account
