Most gaps fade. The scan's job is finding the ones that don't have to.
The gap-and-go is momentum's most taught setup and its most crowded failure. The difference between continuation and fade is mostly visible before the open, in participation, catalyst freshness and float structure, which makes it a scanning problem before it's a trading one.
What continuation actually requires
A gap continues when the story is new enough that positioning is incomplete: fresh catalyst, not recycled; real dollar volume building through the morning, not one mark-up print; and a float small enough that the buying pressure has somewhere to go. A gap fades when the move already ate its fuel: overnight news fully priced by 9:00, volume tapering into the bell, or an ATM overhead selling into every push.
None of that is certainty: plenty of clean setups fade anyway, which is why the entry and the stop live in the course, not the scanner. But the scan removes the gaps that were never candidates, and that alone changes your morning.
The open is a test, not a trigger
The gap-and-go entry is conventionally the break of the premarket or opening-range high with volume expanding. The scanner's contribution is context on that break: how many times the level was tested premarket, how far price sits from VWAP, and whether the name is halt-prone at its float band, because a T1 halt two minutes after your entry is a scenario to have planned for, not a surprise.
Names gapping on fresh news with enough premarket dollar volume to actually trade.
The gap template, ready to argue with.
Gap floor, participation gate, freshness screen: claim it and tighten it against your own journal once the cohort opens.
The founding cohort is 1,000 seats.
We admit 1,000 traders at a time because that is the largest number whose feedback on radar accuracy we can actually work through before opening the next batch. Applications are admitted in order; the intake asks what you trade, and answering it moves you up.
No card at application. Founding price locked for the life of your account. The full intake asks what you trade and moves you up the queue.
Admitted in order of application · momentum traders who complete the intake go first · founding price locked for the life of your account
